Inbox

The thread about the Kestrel return should be readable by whoever picks up the Kestrel return. Connect the mailbox you already use and the conversation attaches itself to the client, so nothing that matters is one person’s private correspondence.

Internal team messaging in LedgerOS, threaded against the work it concerns.

What it does

  • Connect the mailbox you already work in — two-way, so replies come back here
  • Threads match themselves to the client, and tell you how they matched
  • Send from your own domain, or from a shared firm address
  • Internal discussion sits on the task it is about, with mentions
  • Calls logged against the client alongside the email

How it works

Keep your address, keep your inbox

Connect the mailbox you already work in. Nothing migrates, nothing changes for the people who write to you, and nobody has to learn a new mail client in January. The mail simply also lands against the client it is about.

  • Choose at connection time whether the mailbox stays private or is shared with the firm
  • A shared mailbox is usable by the people allow-listed on it, and by nobody else
  • The same rule is enforced in the database and shown on the compose screen, so what you are told and what happens cannot diverge

You find out before your client does

A mailbox that has quietly stopped syncing is the dangerous one, because everything still looks fine. This tells you the connection has dropped, rather than letting you discover it when a client mentions they never heard back.

The conversation sits on the job it is about

Team discussion attaches to the task or the engagement, with mentions. Not in a chat app in a channel called general, where whoever picks the work up next has to have the whole context explained again.

Write to all of them without getting throttled

Client emails go out in validated batches from your own sending domain, with merge fields off the client record and a lifecycle you can actually watch. Not a mail-merge you fire and hope about.
