The badge and the board never disagree
A deadline is a date on the firm’s clock, and the badge in the sidebar, the color on the row and the count in the header all read the same rule. Nothing is more corrosive than two screens telling you different things about the same March deadline.
- A closed deadline — filed, or marked not applicable — is never overdue, whatever its date says
- A date the system cannot make sense of is shown as nothing rather than as debris
- Extensions move the obligation rather than creating a second one
